Terms & Conditions

Please read these terms and conditions carefully before booking any tour with Thapa's Tours & Travels. By making a booking, you agree to be bound by these terms.

Booking Terms

1. Booking Confirmation

Bookings are confirmed only upon receipt of a non-refundable deposit of 30% of the total tour cost. The balance payment must be made 15 days prior to the tour departure date.

2. Payment Methods

We accept payments through bank transfer, credit/debit cards, and digital payment platforms. All payments should be made in Indian Rupees (INR).

3. Price Guarantee

Tour prices are guaranteed once the deposit is received. However, prices are subject to change in case of government tax revisions, fuel price hikes, or other unforeseen circumstances beyond our control.

Cancellation Policy

Note: For special permits (Nathula Pass, North Sikkim, etc.), the permit fees are non-refundable once applied.

Tour Amendments

1. Date Changes

Date changes are subject to availability and may incur additional charges. Requests for date changes must be made at least 15 days prior to the original tour date.

2. Itinerary Changes

We reserve the right to modify itineraries due to weather conditions, road closures, political unrest, or other circumstances beyond our control. Alternative arrangements will be provided wherever possible.

3. Group Size Changes

If the number of participants changes after booking, the tour cost may be recalculated based on the new group size.

Responsibilities & Liabilities

1. Our Responsibilities

We provide services as described in the itinerary. We are responsible for arranging accommodation, transportation, guides, and permits as specified in the tour package.

2. Client Responsibilities

Clients are responsible for:

  • Carrying valid identification documents
  • Obtaining necessary travel insurance
  • Following safety instructions from guides
  • Informing us about medical conditions or special requirements
  • Respecting local customs and traditions
3. Force Majeure

We are not liable for circumstances beyond our control including but not limited to natural disasters, political unrest, strikes, flight cancellations, or epidemics.

Health & Safety

1. Medical Requirements

Sikkim involves high-altitude travel. Clients should consult their doctor before booking, especially for tours to North Sikkim (Lachen/Lachung) and Nathula Pass.

2. Travel Insurance

Comprehensive travel insurance including medical evacuation is mandatory for all tours. Clients must provide proof of insurance before tour commencement.

3. Safety Measures

We follow all government safety guidelines. However, adventure activities involve inherent risks, and clients participate at their own risk.

Special Conditions for Sikkim Travel

1. Restricted Area Permits

For certain areas in Sikkim (Nathula Pass, North Sikkim, etc.), permits are required. We arrange these permits but approval is subject to government discretion.

2. Weather Conditions

Mountain weather is unpredictable. Tours may be modified or cancelled due to weather conditions for safety reasons.

3. Altitude Considerations

Clients with heart conditions, blood pressure issues, or respiratory problems should consult doctors before booking high-altitude tours.

Privacy Policy

We respect your privacy and protect your personal information. Your data is used only for:

  • Processing your booking
  • Arranging permits and accommodations
  • Improving our services
  • Sending tour-related communications

We never sell or share your information with third parties for marketing purposes.
